Rolex Daytonas with ceramic bezels

Greeting from Canada

There is no doubt in my mind that Rolex will eventually introduce ceramic bezels to their SS/Gold and Gold Daytona watches. Since ceramic bezels are likely less expensive to produce than gold, will the prices of those models be reduced???
Thanks

Rolex already fit a ceramic bezel to their Rose Gold Daytona with a leather strap.

Not to mention the Platinum one.

In time they will probably add ceramic bezels to their TT and Gold on bracelet watches. However, msrp will probably go up a little bit.

Can see it in the future but Rolex did update the TT and YG Daytona's this year with the new bezel markings so I'd give it a few years.

Prices in what form of exchange (read: what currency or item/form of intrinsic value)? Considering no currency in the world is backed by anything of intrinsic value....

Sort of like Monopoly money, only with a bit more faith by humans of what value it may have at a given moment in time. The USD, now in it's third central banking scheme, has already lost over 94% of it's buying power since its third go-around / inception. And you wonder why we keep hearing that "prices are going up", when in a sense it is currency destruction / devaluation that is the 'problem'.

I think the WGs will get it next, sales are not as good as on the other PMs and will get a nice shot in the arm.

.

We don't have yet the watch, but we already have its (future) MSRP.

All WG and RG Rolex models have always had the same MSRP.

Ex.: RG Daytona 116505 is 37450$ and WG Daytona is 37450$

We also know that ceramic 116515 on leather is 28800$ , when a WG 116519 on leather is 26650$ (model discontinued in 2015).

This 2150$ difference for the ceramic RG over the non ceramic WG let me conclude that a WG or RG ceramic Daytona on oyster will cost 39600$ (37450+2150) .

Reduced? Doubt it.

We will get a nice video that shows how long and hard it is to produce just the right ceramic and fill with platinum numbers...blah, blah...and they will charge more.
