Watch changing habits

Since wearing my D-blue this past year, I have consciously started to avoid banging my hand into doors. Result? when I put my smaller pieces on instant psychological scratch protection

I know what you mean. I even find myself doing it when I'm not wearing a watch.

Having a D-Blue and two PAMs, I try to be careful where I put my left wrist. As Richie says, it's become a habit and I now do it without a watch

I don't consciously do anything when going through doorways.

There may be some sort of subconscious movement on my part, but obviously being subconscious, I'm not conscious of it.

I did spot some white, chalky substance on my BLNR bezel the other day, which flaked off easily, but there was no other indication of contact with some structure.

Of course, I don't own a DSSD and I might react quite differently if I did.

I do maneuver my wrist to avoid smacking the crystal.

I'm the same with my DJ II - the easiest solution I can find to avoid scratching it is to grab a NATO Explorer II to wear during the day ;)

Know the feeling! Days with the 116660 I'm super cautious due to the large case of the watch when I wear my 116520 that uber-protective feeling stays.
It's also like wearing no watch due to the significant case differences

I walked into a door with my D blue and actually took a piece of the door jamb off... These watches are durable and can take a serious beating though I don't recommend trying to hit anything with them

Yeah...doorways and seat belts...watch killers, I call them. And don't forget the stinking washer/dryer.

+1 for seat belts,,first tiny surface scratch on my blnr clasp was a seatbelt,,
imagine a minute or two with a piece of cap cod should sort it but she is my daily hacker so not too bothered at the moment,,

Even with all that, I still end up with scratches on the smurf's PCLs!

i don't change my behaviour to accommodate my watch

i don't see why you would wear something that affects your ability to move

as for seatbelts and doors...the worst thing by far for a watch is if you regularly type on an apple laptop...sometimes i do select a watch with leather or nato if i know i will be using the computer a lot that day
