Nice read.
I do not necessarily care about Disney in relation to high-end watchmaking but the author was fair is his assessments.

The author gave the exact answer I would myself give in this case: "I'm past the point in my watch education to consider wearing an Invicta watch personally"

I own to many of them already; I was slow to learn my lesson. None have seen my wrist since I bought my first Omega a number of years back.

I've been looking for a Mickey Mouse watch and ran into that article a few days ago. "Invicta" aside, I'm not sold on the design at all.

Any other options for those looking for the classic MM analog version? BTW, I've seen the non branded silver base metal case on Amazon (Disney Men's W001853 Mickey Mouse Silver-Tone Watch), better styling but even lower quality (see the reviews).

After looking at the different offerings further I kept getting reminded how their homages just look bad. If they had their own design that looked decent, then just maybe.

Also I think if you are going to go Mickey, the best option would be a vintage Seiko with the Mickey hands.
