16750 Matte Dial for cal. 3075

Hi all,

I finally found a Rolex 16750 Matte dial for my GMT master. The seller is in Virgiana and it looks like we'll do business face to face.

Could you please let me know what do you think the dial? It does look in good condition to me (not re-dialed and not relumed), but I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Many thanks in advance.

Looks all original but may be a service dial, lets see what others think

Thanks, AbsolutelyRolex! I just met with the seller and bought the dial. It turns out he's a fellow forum member here. The seller was super nice and the dial looks even better in person.

I can't wait to put this dial on my GMT Master. I'll post pictures when the watch is ready.

Cheers!

Service insert ?!

The 16750 was a limited production model and only a couple of dials (matte) are known to have existed, see my friend Springer's post below:

https://rolexvintageforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=93

Now with these GMTs and other models such as the 1675s, the later dials were used to replace the earlier production dials.

Otherwise, the true service inserts for the 16750 matte models would be the white gold surround 16750 dials.

Thanks for the info, TimeToGo.

The dial looks even better in person. It will look great in my GMT master, which has a serial number in low 7millions. So, this dial is correct for my GTM master's production year.
