Rolex Datejust movement

I recently retrieved my Rolex Datejust 1601 from an authorized Rolex service center after a full overhaul of my watch. For some reason, there is some "lag" in the watch's second hand (in some regions of the face (most notably between the 35-second mark to the 50-second mark), the second hand sweeps, stops instantaneously, jerks, then sweeps again (the sound of the automatic movement is constant, however)). All this happens very quickly, so quickly that you can't see it without looking extremely closely. I know for a fact that it is not a fake. Are there any reasons for why my watch is doing this?

any chancee the hand is making contact with another hand or crystal? if not the second pinion and drive wheel aren't aligned.

Yea, I checked and the second hand isn't making contact w/ anything. I didn't understand what u meant by the second part. Pardon me, but other than knowing a lot of watch brands and their models, I'm not really familiar with watch jargon. Could you please explain the second reason to me? Thanks!

second pinion and drive wheel for Caliber 1570

the teeth of the drive wheel drives the second pinion. The second pinion is that the second hand is mounted to. It's not something you diagnose on your own w/o knowledge of the movement.

It's the little spring that holds the seconds pinion in place, it is too loose and should be bend down a bit.

That's the one.
If you take the balance and pallet fork out and slowly wind the watch you can test the spring.
If you wind and the gears come to a stop from spinning you carefully lift the spring from the pinion. The driving wheel should then rotate for another 3/4 of a rotation. If it rotates more the spring is too tight and if it doesn't rotate it's too loose.
