Thought I saw a new Daytona...

...in the AD's window (white dial), but it turned out to be the Platona. Amazing how much the apparent colors changed under the store's lighting from standing in front of the window to standing right next to the case.

Honestly, I haven't really thought much of the blue dial & brown bezel combination in photos online, but it looked really sharp in person. Might have to add it to the list.

The AD's girl was quick to mention that it was a $75K watch. I let her know that I could buy it all day long online in the $48-50K range. She was not amused. :-)

Millenia.

Yeah, she and I have had the boutique vs. online pricing discussion on prior occasions. If they're unable/unwilling to compete, then they'll be missing out on ever more sales going forward. The shopping paradigm has changed across the board; if watch sales haven't yet felt the pinch, then it's only a matter of time.
