Pretty easy to find used ones.

So, £4,500 for an Explorer? Ouch! *shakes head in disbelief*

Don't forget, when comparing prices to US/CA/AUS etc prices, you need to divide prices by 1.19 to get the VAT free (comparable) price.
So, BLNR = 8100EUR, but for non-EU buyers the price is 6806EUR.

For the past few years, EU Rolex prices have been less expensive than US prices due to the strong USD vs the Euro. For many Rolex re-sellers, this difference led to a nice profit margin, purchasing from Europe and re-selling in the US. The EU price increase will certainly cut into the profit margin of the re-sellers who are importing EU watches for re-sale in the US. It will hurt local EU residents looking to purchase a new watch as well. But this may lead to some relative bargains in the pre-owned watch market, compared to the new EU new watch prices.

Ain't happening.
PP/AP will most likely increase at faster rate than Rolex.
