Buying first Rolex. Need Help!

So I have my heart set on a SS GMT Master II Pepsi (The closer to M Serial the better) and have tracked some down. My only worry is that I have a relatively large wrist (8 1/8 in). I don't want to make a purchase and it be too snug or not even fit at all.

Is it possible to take the watch to an AD or Rolex Store (NYC) and have a link added? Also would this be frowned upon as it isn't an original part?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Also, this forum has been super helpful in my search!!

You can get extra links and if they're from rolex, they're original, no issue

You will see spare links pop up from time to time in our classifieds, pretty common actually.

OP: with such large wrists, have you thought of maybe the 42mm EXP2, or the DSSD?

When I bought my most recent watch the AirKing it needed a link and I told them they needed to provide it before I agreed to purchase.

I don't know how that will work when buying a 10 year old watch.

I didn't notice that. But perhaps it won't be too hard to find one.

what I had in mind was NOT BUYING the link from the AD since as already pointed by watchwatcher, previously "loved" links can be had for 50% less or more. In fact, I just did this for my A serial 16610 :)
