Black GMT II & SD4000 in one collection
What do you guys think of having these two black dial, black bezel watches together in one collection? Are they two similar looking? The reason why I ask this is because I have a SD4000 already, and have an opportunity on a good deal BNIB Black GMT II. To good to pass on!

1. Get a blnr instead of a ln for some color variation since you already have a black dial with sub design. They don't really lose much value either.
2. If you plan to use the GMT function occasionally they can easily complement each other in the same collection. 3. If its a "great" not "good" deal then id say just go for it. If your getting 20% off in Alberta with only 5% sales tax I would consider that a "great" deal. If not I would pass. |

I personally think they look and feel totally different, so I wouldn't hesitate to do it if you like the attributes of the GMT-polished center links, extra hand and bezel insert that looks very different from any Sub or SD. You would have two extremely versatile pieces there, you cannot go wrong with black on a Rolex sports watch.
I prefer black dialed watches myself, in terms of the 40mm variants, so I would have no hesitation with acquiring a SubC or 5 digit black GMT to go along with my SD 16600. In fact, I'm debating on which one of those to add next.

I think I would go for the BLNR but they are hard to come by. Plus the deal on this one is exactly what you said! The travelling I do is mostly vacation time but usually in different time zones. So the function would get used. Tomorrow is the day I make the decision so if I get it I will post some pics! Thanks again |

With regards to the blnr. They can be found. I phoned a few AD's earlier on the week and secured one at a decent price. Sent by my pet Gekko

I think they're a great pair. I went with the BLNR over the LN though.
