Red odd date on roulette date wheel question

I read that the original roulette date wheel is red for even dates.

Recently I noticed in Rolex photos the red is on odd dates, is this a recent change over, or the difference between vintage to modern datejust models?

I'm not sure but everything I've ever seen is red on odd days.

I'm not sure why but you are correct, vintage Datejusts have the odd/even colors the opposite of modern ones.
