Back around for a bit
Hey everyone. I have been offline for a while, my Wife filed for divorce on June 26th and it has been really hard to cope. Just wanted to pop in and let you know I am back online and will be surfing through the site to keep me sane!
For the record, I do not want the divorce and she has moved 900 miles up North, back home with her parents and our kids. I have actually found a GREAT forum for my situation and the format is pretty familiar! Mike

Hang in there buddy, it WILL get better. Just make sure you've got plenty of time with the kids in writing with the courts. Some women like to use them as weapons to get what they want.

Glad to see you posting..
These things are never easy, but perhaps the Lord has a different direction for you to go with your life.. And you do get over it, and you do get your life back, and you can't hang on..that just makes it worse.... Yes, I know...

I am so sorry for you Warren and hope that things may turn around for you. Maybe some time away can be good for the both of you and she may have a change of heart. I filed many years ago and Elizabeth had left the state to go back to her parents. She called me right before the finalization and we agreed to get back together again. That was 13 years ago and we've been back together ever since. I can't imagine us doing that again but we needed to get some issues settled around having children.
I don't want to get your hopes up by saying this but sometimes you do need a break from each other to make each of you realize what it was all about. If this does not happen you will at least be developing some support for yourself to carry on and grieve the loss and move on in your life. We hope to support you in the process as well as we are your friends. Hang in there. Terry Newton

Thanks guys! I have minimal support here in Arkansas. All of my biological family is in MI and I have been put in a situation where it is near impossible to go see my kids. Thankfully, I can't drink on my meds cause you'd have some crazy posts on your hands!
I appreciate your support!

I'm very sorry that you have been put in this situation and that your children have been put in theirs.
I sincerely hope that things can somehow work out for you and you are reunited with your kids.

Can I ask all of you to pray for me? Whatever God you give praise, please ask them to hear you and to fill my Wife's heart with love for me and to give me the strength to make the necessary changes to be the best person I can be.
Thank you!

From reading the last sentence it seems that your prayers are being answered. Hang tough and have an open heart and mind. You will find the right path, trust me on this.

Talk to people
Sorry to read about your situation. My suggestion would be to find someone in your area to talk to about it; pastor, priest, therapist, good friend etc., The internet is a great thing but for situations such as the one you are in, 'cyber communications' might compound feelings if loneliness etc., I went through a tough divorce but can report you will come through it.
Be strong!

I have a counselor here in Arkansas. I see her every week for three hours. It still does not seem like enough. I am on the phone with friends and family members wuite often as well. Unfortunately, those two outlets are not available 24 hours a day! TRF and my Divorce Forums are!
