Interesting observation on DSSD fit

As noted in a previous post, I was fortunate enough to get a DSSS Blue. When I had it sized, I had 4 links on the 6 o'clock side and 5 + the diver extension on the 12 side. Everything I've read/learned in this great hobby is to have less links on the 6 side and more on the 12 side.

Well, on the DSSD, I couldn't get the fit just right. While speaking with a friend who also has one, he told me he went against the conventional less links on the 6 side and has less on the 12 side of his DSSD. So I changed it up and went 5 on the 6 side and 4 + the diver extension on the 12. The fit is now perfect! I realize the diver extension represents about 1.5-2 links so the 12 is still longer, but I just wanted to throw this out there to everyone else who may be looking for the perfect fit on their DSSD.

When I owned a DSSD I never knew it had a diver extension. My wrist is 6.5" and I found the watch very comfortable to wear. Some might think it was too big for me, but I loved the design so much I was happy to wear it everyday. Never had any issue with fit, it's a great watch whether black or blue dial version.

7.25" wrist, my current set up for max enjoyment is diver extension removed, 6 links on 12 o'clock, 5 on 6 o'clock.

Interesting. So with the length of the diver's extension, it's still technically a little longer on the 12 o'clock side? (4+1.5=5.5)

Thanks for posting this.
