Got a new car . . .

Well, the time has finally came.
I walked away with a 2008 Caddy STS fully loaded today with the V8 320HP engine :) (all but the nav.). It was time to trade my truck in. I had a 2004 F350 that was just KILLING me in fuel costs, and maintenance. I was also however upside down in it (got it used a few years ago), so I ended up paying a little more a month for the Caddy. However, I will have cheaper monthly insurance, cheaper gas, and, best of all a brand new car with a 6 year 90,000 mile extended bumper to bumper warranty !
I'm super excited right now, I just figured I'd let some of my excitement out here :)
She's all dark gray with gray interior (I would post a picture, but my camera is on the fritz :)

Thanks guys :) From the size of the manual, I'll spend the rest of the week reading it :) This is my first *new* car, and all of these new features I have no clue how to work most of them :) The weirdest thing being there's no key to start, it's a push button. I found that VERY strange at first, but slowly adjusting :)

When I was driving down one of the biggest baddest roads in Calgary last weekend with Aadil, there was a car full of guys that had an inflated blowup doll. They were putting the doll in very precarious and sexual positions while everyone passing was rubbernecking to get a look. There was a lot of swerving and laughter going on. The guys even gave the doll over to a different car!!
Crazy crazy

Congrats on the new car, those are really fun to drive! Stay safe and enjoy it

Congrats on the new car. Had a when you describe your 320HP V8 using less fuel than you last one.

lol, beleive it or not, it's true. It gets good mileage (19 or so around town, and 28+ on the highway), and I can opt to put in regular gas if I wanted to ( @ 3.69 per gallon here in CT). Before, I was driving a diesel (which in and of itself costs $4.69 a gallon), and got at BEST 14MPG combine. Plus my insurance went down almost $80 per month. So, even though the car is more per month, I will be saving some money in the process.

I wouldn't have given you two cents for the Cadillacs of the 90s - but that new STS (the one you have) is one hot car! And you cannot, absolutely cannot, beat that ride.

Congrats!

There is probably a backup camera in the rear bumper. Now lets see, a big mirror and..... never mind, it probably doesn't have internet access.
Seriously, congrats

Funny guys.
We're talking about Cadillacs and the ride?
Average Cadillac owner is 50.
Hmmm
Are we as a group 50 ish?
Someone want to put up a survey?

Wow, nice to see someone from my area (litterally lol).
As for the age of Caddy drivers, I'm 22, and while most people I see that drive these things are in their 60's +, many of them are driving the bigger sailboats (the fleetwoods, and the DTS). The CTS and STS were designed for a more younger market. . . . . Well, I guess anyway, but so far I've seen all older people still driving these things. I don't care, I LOVE the ride, and the acceleration is Unbelievable. Anywho, with the amount of money a month this car is costing me, I could get a BNIB Sub Date every 6 months lol.

Well, for those of you that wanted, here is a picture of my old F350 when I took it home new, in late 2003:

And, new Caddy: My car looks just like this one, but is the color "Platinum". I would've taken a picture of my car, but my good digital camera crapped out.

Mike, I been driving Caddies since 1996 and have not had any problems with them. I drive around 30,000 miles a year and do have to say that once they hit 100,000-110,000 miles the pain in the butt problems start, however the 3 Caddies I had were virtually problemless up to 100,000 miles.
