Smurf seen in London AD window
Just that really. Was passing the Rolex Boutique on Old Bond Street at around 4pm today and saw this in the window. Hopefully helps any interested parties on these boards looking for one. I was in here a couple of months ago asking about the Daytona C. Their waitlist back then was 5 years but the manager admitted in reality it would be a lot less. He also said that they were the best place to source the harder to find pieces. Given he is the boutique I have no reason to disbelieve. I also stopped by Asprey today and was told their wait list is 7 years. They have received a few Daytonas so far but have all been directed to VIP's. They haven't filled a single wait list name. Given they have Heads of State and other movers and shakers crossing the threshold every day I am sure they had a few sitting in their coffins in the safe gathering dust while us peasants have to leave our details! I appreciate this is not exactly news but just wanted to share.

PMs are not hard to find in UK and still better to buy from good resellers who will discount far more than an ADs 0-10%.

Just cannot believe some of these quotes by ADs on the wait list for a ceramic Daytona, how hard can it be to just slip on a ceramic bezel and slightly different dials too a old production Daytona watch.

It's not like the former Daytonas were always readily available, sitting in the AD case either...I expect it's probably a similar production # as the former model, just a lot more people now waiting in the line for the 116500 at the same time now.

See I like the more muted colors on the Pepsi. Both are gorgeous indeed.

Dr Tom and the d blue
Doc
You have one of the most amazing collections of sports models in PM but also the coolest SS watches like the ceramic Daytona or hulk or YM blue dial. What are your thoughts on the d blue and why isn't it part of your amazing collection? Just wondering! Last edited by Jeffreyc87; 18 December 2016 at 10:30 AM.. Reason: Wrong thread |
