Agreed--21MM lugs. I had a Chrono and that lug width threw me for a loop. You can buy a custom strap, but not much else in the after market. Mine was a good beater, but one of the pushers came off and it took almost 3 months for Oris USA to get it replaced, and at a cost of over $100. Kinda soured me at that point.

I've owned vintage and new Oris. Good bang for the buck and they hold up for everyday wear. that said, terrible resale, so if you buy one buy used or lnib. A Sinn or Bell & Ross is a great watch as well but a little higher in price. good luck. m

How well do these fit over a wet suit? I have a 7mm. Any chance this will fit with a stock bracelet?

I like Oris, I don't own one, but I wished I got the Oris instead of my quartz Tag Heuer. IMHO with Oris your money is more well spent than Tag where you pay mostly for marketing.

I'm a fan of the original chronoris. Even the reissue is pretty cool.

I have an Oris Diver. I Love it like a child, it got me into hobby of oogling fine watches. I would never trade or sell it. It has tremendous sentimental value to me.

My first mechanical watch was an Oris BigCrown Master Chrono (The one of 8mm with Nicolas Cage). Worked wonderful, Service was always a pleasure. I've sended it directly to Hölstein.
After a couple of years in the drawer its now in a spa with my watchmaker. Beautiful watch, works fantastic.

I think they are a good value and relatively "under the radar" except for the WIS community. Some of their designs are classics. An earlier poster said they felt "tinny". I couldn't disagree more. They are very well made and their finish is second to none. If you close your eyes and hold an Oris in one hand and a brand "R" in the other you will think that the Oris is the more expensive watch. And yes their resale value isn't that good. The upside of that is that they are a great buy if you can go the "pre-owned" route. Hey! They were good enough for Sinatra.

Very happy with my 65 diver. Very well build and totally different from my other watches. And way less expensive 😉
Prefer it over my panerai because of the slim case, much more comfortable.

I own a BC3 Advanced Day Date. Sadly, the quality, accuracy and workmanship is not on par with the other watches that i own (Rolex, Tag and Ball). IMO, i think how much you pay for a watch matters.

Oris is a great bang for your buck watch imo. My only gripe is the poor power reserve.

I don't have Oris but like Costa Chronograph Diver watch. A decent brand selling good timepieces with an affordable price rags,, that is my take on the Oris

ive had about 5 oris's to date (only 1 purchased new) and they are fantastic watches as long as you but them on sale or second hand... resale isnt great.
i keep selling them and seem to keep wanting one back as a daily work hack and they are great for that!
I picked up a Carlos Coste Cenote last week (limited run of 2000... yes i know its not so limited)
