Montblanc M
I noticed at Hodinkee the new Montblanc M. I happen to have a bag full of Montblanc rollerball and felt-tip refills so I figured I'd buy an M in order to have a lightweight pen to carry around. I have several Blancpain that would fit those refills but they are "old" pens by now and I'd rather keep them in storage.
However, when I started researching the M, I discovered that it requires a special, short refill because the design of the pen won't allow for regular refills. And the short refill only comes in blue and black. Also, the magnetic cap seems to fit rather flimsily. One of the comments on the pen was that the idea was for design (looks) to prevail over function. I cancelled the order immediately. A Bart for Montblanc M |

I still have no idea and I do not fault you for cancelling the order. I would likely acquire one at the "right" price just to have it in the collection. Outside of that... no! Good post!

It seems like an interesting pen but a big departure for Montblanc. I would have one as a novelty. Not my favorite but it is interesting.
