And, while I love RG, I like it in small amounts, so the RG accents against the black work well for me. But, do go and have a look at it in the flesh. That's the ultimate test.
Sounds like the perfect watch for you my friend...

I have the YM in SS and the ceramic RG Daytona so I really went round the houses to have this type of watch.

I actually saw one in a AD's window here in London for the first time the other week, and it looked almost perfect in the window. When I've got time, I will have a trying on session, as I really do like it, and I'm finding I gravitating to going back to wearing fabric/leather straps more than metal now, so this 'could' be the perfect Rolex daily wearer for me......

I say it looked almost perfect, as for the only thing that I think would improve it or rather would suit the look of the watch more would be a brushed finish to the case rather than polished. I think that would suit the watch much better, and I'd probably buy one in a flash if it had an old fashioned brushed case finish.

Tried one on and really wanted to like it as another potential departure from my SS majority but there are way to many things going on with that model that seem to conflict with each other - polished/matte, rubber/PM, busy dial gold/red/white lettering, a bezel that, contrary to its purpose, is difficult to read in some lighting conditions. I will say that the bracelet engineering is impressive and incredibly comfortable. In spite of it being the only YM that has ever tempted me to try one on, there are just too many compromises, for me, at this price-point.

I tried the 40mm at my AD and found it to be stunningly beautiful. I love the contrast of the well designed black rubber strap and rose gold case with its striking red lettering.

I had this piece for a little while. It wears great, but I DID indeed get sick of all the black accents. Got out of it after a few months.

Based on feedback here from those who've bought and flipped, it looks like the novelty can potentially wear off after some time.

Then again, this is sometimes true for other watches, such as the Hulk or Deepsea.

My own view is that this is a very handsome watch, not too much black, but priced too high.
