I voted 2 liner, a tad biased as I own a Y serial 2 liner (my 2nd Rolex purchased 1900 quid as I recall - that was a good week), my go to weekend / holiday watch... iconic

Loved the cleaner look of the 2 liner.

I bought the 4 line, ceramic bezel - on purpose.

I love the look, the fortified package, and man - the bracelet is night and day from the old one.

If you love the old one's feel and look of course go with that, it is classic and of course beautiful.

But if you are teetering, and truly comparing, theres really no comparison. The 4 line features are superior.

You post a great case for the 114060 but the OP is asking for opinions on the 14060 which can be found with either 2 or 4 lines.

I like both the 2 and 4 line 14060 but if I was buying I think I'd choose the 2 liner as it feels more "classic" to me. That said, I'd probably choose the 114060 over both for the reasons you posted.

one of the greatest watches made in either 4 or 2.

had the 2, now have the 4 and am very happy.
(1 caveat is i have swapped my clasp for the updated clasp from the 93250 bracelet, for its captured dive extension)

the 5513 pulls off the 2 line best imho

2-liner owner here.

It's a cleaner dial, more classic and goes under the radar.

But in the future, I might as well change my mind and change to a 114060... who knows? :)

But I didn't choose to buy the 2-liner for that reason. When I bought it back in 2000 there weren't any other options.

Very clean pics

I chose the two-liner, and would do so again. Seeing all the great images of the two liners and four liners only confirms my choice: Still think the dial looks cleaner and more balanced with the two lines at bottom. Movement is the same, so don't feel I'm missing anything.

I like both but the 4 has really grown on me since I bought it. Depending on the price and condition, either is a great purchase. Same price and condition, I'd go 4.

I'm happy with my T<25. It's great to be able to switch things up.

I'd have to vote for the two-liner. It's on my list of future buys. I really like the visual symmetry both left/right and top/bottom. The four is great also, but I lean toward the two.

The 2-liner has the same movement, and is therefore as precise as COSC when properly regulated.

I have both and I voted for the 4-liner because it was in production for only a handful of years (harder to find).
