For simply look, I would get the 116600. I love the thickness and that helium purge valve.
I think it looks peculiar!! |

I've owned all 3. My rationale/considerations are:
Sub-C: My first Rolex, due to a great size and thickness, robust, and glidelock is amazing. SD4K: When this came out I loved the no cyclops, thicker and heftier case (but still 40mm diameter which is great), still has glidelock, and so swapped my Sub-C for this. Did not regret it at all but if you have smaller wrists definitely try this in person first. Although it's 40mm like the Sub-C, there is a noticeable difference on the wrist. BLNR: Since I've owned 2 subs, decided to go for BLNR when I got back into modern Rolexes to try something different. I always gravitated towards Subs because I preferred glidelock and brushed links, but after owning the BLNR the PCLs actually grew on me a lot, and I may go back to PCL for my next one. Also I really liked the smaller clasp of the BLNR despite not having the fine adjustment ability of the glidelock, but that's a tradeoff I think I will make again in the future. |
