Basel---Pm Rolex--Triangles--Daytona--What am I...?
I was just thinking about the new Ceramic bezels that are currently being used on the 116500.
On the SS Daytona models, it was the ( . )that was used on the bezel to indicate SS, I assume. Then, on the PM Gold models the Triangle was used to signify PM Gold models. Now, on the 116500, Rolex is using the Triangle Ceramic bezel. Curious... Why do you think that is, and do you think it is that many PM Ceramic models will be presented in Basel 2017?

The triangle ceramic bezel markers on the stainless model makes me think it would be hard for Rolex to put a ceramic bezel on a white gold Daytona now because the triangle markers would look identical.
With that said, the triangle markers are much better looking to me than the dot markers. |

I would tend to answer yes to your question (at least some PM bezels), but the curious thing is why then did Rolex go to all the trouble of re-doing the 523, 508, and 509 bezels if it was just going to be for roughly a year's worth of watches? |

I like triangle ⛛ markers too, it also gives Daytona's tachymeter scale a unique touch. To help differentiate the white gold from stainless steel models I think Rolex should use Roman numerals in white gold models while stainless steel remains same as index only

it's kind of funny, i've stared at countless pictures of these two watches, and didn't pick up on the triangle/circle difference.
i guess WG will now be even more "stealth"? |
