Converting a Rolex!!

Hello everyone and happy holidays, my question is I have a 16570 Explorer II black dial, is it possible to change the bezel and the dial to make it a GMT II (Coke or Pepsi) !!?

You'd have to do some major alterations to the case to allow for the rotating bezel. Not worth the effort.

The 16750 has a fixed bezel. You'd have to drill a hole for the click spring needed for the rotating GMT bezel.

And if that was done can it be reversed back to an explorer?

As it would just be covered up, I guess so. Just so you're aware, I doubt Rolex would service such a modified watch.

No need to drill a hole, as this spring hole isn't on the case but on the ring (see picture).

To transform Explo2 to Gmt, you'll need to source this ring and install it on the Explo2 case (identical to the gmt case).

Finally you would get a frankenwatch, not accepted at RSC. It's more clever to sell your Explo2 and buy a Gmt ...

Nice looking aftermarket bezel rings are avaliable on ebay for $120. Think it comes with an insert too. At least ypu won't have a ton invested in the Frankenstein experiment.

Personally, knowing the 16570 has non oem parts fitted would drive me to the edges of insanity.

Is this the ring that is required?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PEPSI-BEZEL-...QAAOSwTuJYpXAV

It's the only one I could find for sale on Ebay. If not, anyone know where I can buy the necessary parts?

I'd like to convert my Explorer II to a rotating bezel, as I miss the functionality of my previous GMT II. If I have to sell the Exporer to buy another GMT, it looks like I'll have to pay $1500-2000 difference. I'd rather change the bezel if it can be done without permanently altering the watch in any way.
