I don't believe PCLs belong on a SS tool watch

What about on a piece of jewellery for men costing many thousands of dollars?

Mine did, and they were a very large factor in my moving it on. Way too blingy and attention-seeking for me.

A big NO ! Not on any model they never had them in the early years it looks like something you would find on a Sekio sold at JC Penny's .

I have the pieces, but still dislike PCLs, reminds me of fishing tackle.

PCLs are really not bad. It's so easy to just buy a brushed one as a spare or brush them out.

I can understand if the bracelet was somehow fused to the case, but hell, it's an accessory really to the watch itself.

BLNR is a beautiful watch because of the captivating blue on the bezel and hand. I would own one already if it wasn't for the PCL's and the fat lugs. I tried one on at an AD last week. I go in excited. Once it's on my hand, I change my mind. My eye picks up all the smudges and fingerprints on the PCL's. I also can't help noticing the sharp corners and awkward transition from the fat lugs to the narrow bracelet. If I ever do get a BLNR, I will end up getting the bracelet brushed once I get sick of the scratches. "Patina" does nothing for me. I still can't understand why they made the lugs so ugly on the ceramic GMT and Sub. The lugs look fine on Explorer ii and ceramic SD 4000. They can do it if they want to. They should fix it. Some people don't mind but plenty do. That says the design could be corrected.

Have the white, don't love the PCLs (or the watch).

They work with the polished/shiny ceramic bezel. I'd rather both were brushed as on my TBB or both polished.

I'm personally not a fan - didn't like them on the Milgauss that I had and I ended up selling the watch. I wanted a BLNR and was also put off the the PCLs.

For some reason I don't notice it on my 500 and think it goes well with the watch.

No, I don't think it has for many members because the 116520 and 16520 already had polished center links and have been quite popular here.

PCLs remind me of two tone and that's my major irk. I'd rather the entire watch be polished than just the center links. Of course brushed is my preference in general.

I'll stick with my hatred of PCL's although not as much as my hatred of snowflake hands.

I think that the folks you're referring too probably were attracted to the new Daytona and BLNR for more than just the PCL. I think all the other new traits outweighed the fact that they came with PCLs.

^^^^^ I love the GS and don't mind PCL's at all. In fact I think I like them and I really like the way the Daytona C looks.

Not a fan of PCL. It was a major con when I was considering the BLNR alongside the LV. I like to wear and treat my watches as rugged tools. And a rugged tool does not have polished surfaces.

That's the whole point of the thread and this discussion.

Those who swore they'd never own something with PCLs that were converted when they saw how awesome the watches in question are.

Yep, swapped out the PCL bracelet on my LN for a brushed sub bracelet.

IMHO, PCL's just don't suit tool watches.
