:( Manual winding on tudor 79090 shot
Hi all,
As some of you may remember, I bought a just serviced tudor 79090 recently from a reputable buyer (who I just sent an e-mail too, so this post has nothing to do with them). When it arrived, it was working perfectly and the time was set right - so it seemed they wound it 24 hours before and it moved enough in transit to maintain plenty of power reserve. I went to hand-wind it and felt immediate substantial resistance. I then wore it straight for several days and it's an amazing watch. I learned that the power reserve was maxing out at 14 hours and that the hand-wind mechanism doesn't appear to be functioning. It meets immediate resistance even when fully drained and feels like it's skipping the mainspring. The only thing that gets it ticking again is using the auto-wind rotor - basically I've found I have to wear it for about 2 minutes, unscrew the crown, and re-screw it - and it'll be working fine. I'm sharing this because I'm wondering if anyone has any insights into what's the likely culprit here. This is an ETA movement, so hopefully easy to fix locally or by the vendor I bought it from. Fingers crossed for a quick resolution. Ultimately since I can get it working and it runs great once it's on my wrist, this is a modest issue for daily enjoyment. |

Just serviced, I doubt it.
I would send it back to Bobs. |

Had my 79090 just serviced for the exact same issues. No parts needed just a dismantling and cleaning solved the problems.

Send it back to Bob's.
That is part of the reason why you pay full retail thru them. To get a watch that is serviced and warrantied. At least that's what they told me when they gave me a bid on one I tried to sell them. And cornerstore is likely right. But either way, you should not pay to fix it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Definitely send it back. Doesn't sound like it was serviced to me.
