Skydweller

i dont know about you guys

but i am absolutely most excited for these new Rolesor options

I just got into the skydweller model and started to understand them, and today made my day

IMO you cannot go wrong with the new blue or black dial / rolesor...just fantastic.

I agree, this is a good looking watch! I had no interest in it until today - now I'm thinking about one and the black would be my first choice!

And as a bonus, the month indicators fit better into the stick dials of the steel models than they do on the arabic or roman dials of the PM's. Just my opinion, of course.

Its a nice watch, but wears very differently among people. I think the low sales weren't totally about the higher price and different looks, but more about how comfortable it is to user - because it seems to vary.

I agree that the Sky Dweller in steel and WG looks very good to me.

I doubt that I'll ever get one at that price, but I think the Rolesor models will be a hit.

The PM price did play a role, but it is also a big watch that tries to combine several watches into one. Having said that, the black dial WG model was my dream choice. Now the TT blue dial jumped into that spot. It is a little closer to affordable too.

Agree, looks more seamless, think this watch has turned a lot of Rolex owners suddenly onto the SkyD, good move by Rolex.

I'm in on the blue but here's the truly important question... does this mean an end to the "my crown is not always perfectly vertical...is that ok" threads? I assume it has the same crown mechanism as the pm variants but haven't seen anything confirming that...

I'd be interested in a model with a smooth bezel as I'm not a fan of the fluted bezel...

Its about grip, it's a command ring that moves.

I agree. I was speculating on this model and all told me no way it was going to happen. It looks so good that if you were in an AD looking at it, I'd step on your head, rip it away from you and buy it myself.

Yep this is my pick of the bunch.

Will have it side by side with my previous want a SS DJ41 on jubilee, two different pieces but either will fit the one slot in my collection.

I have been wondering if the jubilee will fit the Skydweller case hmmm

...maybe it's the pix but the white dial looks kinda washed out? think an ivory dial would have been better imho.

both the blue and black look stunning!

This may be a stupid question (forgive me), does this mean that the center links in the bracelet are white gold as well? If so it seems kind of silly to me...

Either way, this iteration has definitely peaked my interest in the sky-dweller.

no it's typical brushed SS oyster bracelet like the ones we can see on DJ, BLNR, 116622, Daytona, etc.

Like many, I'm now getting more interested in the Sky Dweller, but have a quick question on its functionality.

The Rolex website says: "The date changes when the hour hand passes midnight, only in the clockwise direction."

Does this mean that the Sky Dweller does not have the functionality of the GMT 2 or Explorer 2 in terms of moving the date backwards by moving the hour hand anti-clockwise through midnight? If so, and I could well be wrong, this would seem an odd aspect of a watch which is about crossing time-zones. Suppose someone crosses the International Date Line into "yesterday", must they move the hour hand forward until the date comes all the way back around to yesterday's date?

Fell INSTANTLY in love with the blue dial and ordered one immidiately.... In my honest opinion it is the ultimate Rolex... I could see myself with only one watch and the BlueSky being that one...

I believe this watch will be in VERY high demand...

that's what I think

I just wish the dial in the middle would have been a different colour or outlined in another colour to make it stand out more maybe Basel 2018

I like the blocky rectangular indexes and longer hands giving more space for lume!
And ofcource the "Rolesor" case.
