I'm going to be travelling quite a bit this summer. Thinking about bringing a second watch with me, usually just wear my DateJust but would also like to bring my new Air-King. I may need to store one in my backpack but I don't want it to get scratched. How do you guys store a single watch when travelling?

Most will say a watch case or even to pack it in a sock.

I personally only travel with one watch, and it's always on my wrist

I read some stuff about the Oakley watch vault but can't find it under $50 anywhere...

I found one called the WATCHPOD on Amazon for much cheaper, might try this one out. Do you know any alternatives?

If you are traveling with a backpack why are you bringing 2 watches? Are going to be staying at a hotel at night with a safe or where are you going to keep Rolex #2 when you go out for dinner?

Backpack is just my carry on. Yes hotel with a safe. Then again I don't trust those hotels safes whatsoever.

Backpack and DJ is an interesting mix... I would take one watch only, the AK.

I have a few travel cases from other brands. If you received the plastic box from you AD, you could use that.

Haven't received any AD boxes yet. I think I will buy the WatchPod case, looks very similar to the Oakley vault with the doughnut shape.

There is a saying about cheap motorcycle helmets..... $50....to protect a $5,000 watch. Just spend the money.

The second watch would take away some of my enjoyment as I'd be constantly worried about it's safety. One watch that never leaves the wrist is plenty.

If you must take two, the Casebudi cases are the same as Oakley, and only $15 on Amazon.

On the wrist or in the wife's handbag/purse for me. Usually only take one watch though so on the wrist generally.

Why spend money just use a thick clean sock or best just wear one watch no need for another.

Okay I got you guys beat on this one.... Green velvet Rolex Service pouch ($4-$20 on ebay). And then a glass cleaning cloth in between the case and clasp in case you dont want to get caseback scratches. but that's optional.
I use it almost every day when I work out. I put it in the pouch and lock it away in the office. Keeps it safe and scratch proof

Ahh thats a unique solution! I ended up buying the WatchPod on Amazon, part of the reason is because it guards the case back from scratches, and also the price is great. Thanks for help guys

I would highly suggest just taking 1 watch only. If anything should happen to the one you wearing at least you have another 1 back home. This is exactly what I always do. You never know what might happen. Better to be pre-cautious. That's all.

I asked this question recently and the overall concensus was casebudi I picked one up for like $15 I can put my expII in it and throw it in my backpack.

In addition to the other solutions already suggested, a Breitling or Omega service case also make great options to store a second watch during traveling.

I travel a great deal on business. I 'used to' take a second watch every now and again. Over time, I grew tired of the hassle (regardless of how well it was packed/stored) of having to concern myself with it. Much easier to simply take one watch and wear it. I'd rather place my focus and energy elsewhere.
