Is there a reason for the sharp edges on the bezel?
I know that there are already threads that complain about the sharp edges on the bezel, but none of them seem to ask why we have such sharp edges on the bezel in the first place.
Is it just a design element, or is there a specific reason for the sharpness (i.e. make it easier to rotate the bezels)? |

Well so it can be used as a weapon when someone try to steal your Rolex, just hit them in the head with the sharpened bezel.

In that case, is there a reason why Rolex uses the same designs for the non-diver watches such as the GMT Master II?

I always thought it was to cut through rope when tied up
