Why not have a Zenith, you have very sporty models as classic models, I have a Defy and it is really a strong and durable watch but the price is a bit higher than Rolex

Vintage Omega.

Their 5xx movements were in house and world class.

Rolex Pros:

+Beautiful design, nice mix of polished and brushed steel
+Proven history, adventure and expidition
+COSC, rugged, beauty and performance

Rolex cons:

+Expensive
+servicing is strange (keep replacement parts, treat you like your lucky to be getting service i hear)

Omega, IWC, Kobold:

Pros:

+Also rugged, and some really nice designs
+ETA movements easy to be serviced
+thousands of $$ less

Cons:

+Not Rolex
+ETA movements im told dont hold up as well over the years
+Not as durable as Rolex (???)

Are non-Rolex watches pretty good value for the money?

Discuss...........
i think your first choice is the best choice! (get a rolex) of the 3 brands you list - i'd go with an omega speedy pro. great movement (lemania), great history, and WIS credibility.
