Is it real? Rolex Daytona 24hr
Hello All,
I've been on the hunt to purchase a watch. I came across this ad recently and the seller is willing to take accept a good price on it. It's a Rolex Daytona with 24hr Daytona engrave on the case back. No box or papers and the bracelet is broken. Based on the photos I am asking for the opinion of the group. Is it real? Should i stay away or pres forward. Seller also says the watch is white gold. Serial # F432117 |

It's horrible...another race car driver forced to sell his winning watch!

A real race winner would cost you $100,000+ and if it were much less and still real, then its most likely stolen since only 3-4 per class win, per year are given out. An F serial is from 2003 so unless it came directly from one of the winning drivers in that year then its a fake.

So, it is a real Rolex with a fake engraving or does it look like a complete fake?

OP: Yes, the entire watch is complete garbage, just like 99.9999% of all other "Wiener" Daytonas out there. The serial number given is also bogus, and commonly used on many counterfeit Rolexes. |

Some friendly advice. If you want to buy a second hand watch and you are considering this particular piece, then you should probably take some time to do a considerable amount of research. There are many fakes and scams out there.
