Was visiting a friend of ours who has mentioned her mother has given her an old Rolex, but she didn't know much about it. Took a look and discovered hers was a 1958 Oysterdate Precision (6406), with Oyster bracelet.

Set time and date, wound the watch and it was off and running, keeping time with my 15003.

I will have her send me pics of the bracelet. I have reason to believe it is an original rivet bracelet with a broken clasp

That is a very rare watch I would say....that doesn't mean valuable..just rare. I've never heard of or seen one in 32 years of this. Never seen literature on the movement either.
