Thanks. I did not know that.

Are there any wear or cleaning tips that lessen that?

That's quite a really good ding! I'd wait until you service it since it probably won't be the last time you get a scratch or ding.

I would leave deep scratches, gouges or dings for service time - but inbetween there's no reason you can't polish the mirror faces with a dremel and some jewellers rouge. Dialux Vert is supposed to be perfect for mirrored stainless. The brushed serfaces can be wiped across with a scouring pad too.

There's plenty of how-to videos out there to learn from. Just don't overdo it and work carefully. Or take it to a jeweller and ask them to do it - I prefer doing it myself though, it would bother me if a jeweller went further than I was expecting.

I think it's just loosening due to wear. My gold Rolex got pretty loose after about a decade of wearing it.

I don't know how to lessen it.

I like to give my wrist a shake to get my watch in the right place, that might add wear. Bad habit which might add wear.

I rotate weekly my 114060 and BLNR. Both have scratches and what not.

Hey Lilxzak, everyone else have covered all of the obvious points, so I wont add to that, one thing I will mention is that the cases are Stainless Steel so rust proof however SS is brittle, I read some where that Royal Naval personnel took to wearing their watches facing inwards, so when passing through metal bulk heads at quick pace the less likely they would be contact damage to the watch. the same goes for when you take it off, there's a correct manner of placing down, and never just toss it on to a work top, always show it the respect it deserves, I do mine. you will get this sorted, and all the best for the future, Rgds "H"

Fact of life: If you wear your watch then the dings, dents, cratches are unvoidable, just it's a matter of time that they get damaged.

Since I do have more watches than I can wear this time I decide to leave one of my Daytona unsized, unworn just to see how long I can leave it alone

There are some guys who fix bracelet stretch so I wasn't sure if this was similar and could be fixed.

Wear it every day and beat it up. send it in for service in 5 years or so.

Rinse and repeat.
