Warranty Card
When I purchased a Deepsea last week the AD swiped the warranty card - he indicated this is how the watch is registered with the mothership.
Anyone have knowledge on this subject? - interested if this is actually the case. |

Yes. The warranty starts on date of the card swipe.

Yes the AD is quite right if the Warranty Card is not swiped the Warranty is useless that is one of the benefits buying from an AD you know the Warranty is active. You get Grey Market Dealers who would have New Rolexes complete with Warranty Cards but you have no idea if the Cards have been swiped

No, swiping the card does not "register" your Rolex.
Yes, it does begin the warranty period and set the sales date.

does the warranty card play any role when you are submitting a warranty service request then? Since the card is already swiped, all your information should be on their database already therefore wouldn't it be pointless to use the warranty card?
or does it mean swiping just makes that card active since xxxx date and when you bring it to rsc they will check if the card matches? |
