Choosing a submariner
Hello, I'm new to the forum and am trying to decide on a new purchase. I've previously owned two new datejusts. I'm going back and forth.I was thinking of a last production of a Tudor sub 1980's but also looking for advice and suggestions for a Rolex. I see mid '80s @ 5k or would I be better off buying a 2012 engraved 4 liner for @ 500. more. Any thoughts on which would be a wiser purchase ? Thank You.

Curious why you think the current ceramic Sub is more durable and reliable over the previous generation?

Either would be fine as long as it has been properly serviced recently. Pick which one you like better.

Unless you specifically want vintage, I would buy the newest Sub you can afford.
PM one of the trusted sellers on this forum to see what they can do with your budget. DavidSW, OCRolexguy, Takuya, etc. I'm sure any of them can help you. |

I like the extra weight and feel of the newer sub bracelets, that to me was a big difference
