Vintage Zodiac Sea Wolf Diver
The Sea Wolf is one of the most iconic dive watches in history. Launched in 1953, it became a staple on the wrists of those looking for a tough water resistant timepiece, and was very popular with soldiers during the Vietnam War era, being sold in PX exchanges around the world.
The example here has the well known applied steel markers with large lume plots at 6, 9, and 12, and shovel shaped hands with lots of lume to match. This watch is in great shape, appears entirely original, and still sports its original bracelet. Take a look at the photos and condition description below: Case: 35.5mm stainless steel case in excellent vintage condition. The case shows only light signs of surface wear with sharp edges and appears unpolished with an original signed crown. Bezel: 60 click bidirectional bezel in excellent condition. The original light blue acrylic insert is in excellent shape with no cracking or chips. Dial/Hands: Original dial and handset in excellent condition as pictured with applied steel markers, and even creamy lume on the dial. The original shovel shaped hands also have a creamy even lume with minor cracking as shown. Caseback: Original screw down caseback with all engravings present and sharp. Crystal: Domed acrylic crystal in good condition with only minor wear. There are no major/deep scratches, cracks, or chips in the crystal. Movement: ETA/A. Schild automatic movement in excellent working condition with all functions working as they should, including the unique push quickset date. Bracelet/Strap: 18mm stainless steel Zodiac signed bracelet in excellent condition as pictured. Sized for a 7.25" wrist. Accessories: None, sold as watch only. Price is $875 shipped insured FedEx overnight CONUS via PayPal or wire (3% discount for wire). US sale preferred, international sales will pay the cost of shipping. Face to face in the Boston area also welcome. I have many references available. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking! |
