Lange Soxonia Thin 37mm metal colour pick.
Hello,
After a few months of deliberations i have finally settled on the Lange Saxonia Thin 37mm. This watch to me exemplifies the best of watchmaking in its purist form and is superbly executed. Certainly better than any PP Calatrava or VC patrimony I've seen. Now, the big question here is what metal colour should i go with. I've never owned a gold watch and I'm currently torn between the white and pink gold variants. While the versatility of a white gold watch appeals to me, i love the warmth and tone of the pink gold. What would be your pick and does the pink gold have any room to be versatile? Thank you! |

I would pick the white gold as I think it could be dressed down a little easier...I don't dress up enough to have a gold dress watch in my collection

I always lean toward white metals. However, this watch is relatively slim and understated, which in my opinion could make it a great option in rose gold.

Mike makes an excellent point. I would probably have to try them back to back but when I had my 1815 I went back and forth about WG vs RG and ultimately landed in white once again

It's very confusing- i think both are absolutely stunning. The Pink gold has a warm tone that attracts me and better fits the traditional concept of this watch. On the other hand the white gold is so modern and versatile, however my concern with white gold is that it may fade in time and with the pink gold it may not be suitable to wear in non formal settings.

i prefer white gold watches in general, but if you have no other gold watches i would go for the rose. its an awesome watch, my sister in law asked what to get her now husband, and that's what she got him.

For me, the warmth of the pink gold completes the package.

Thanks guys!
One think about Lange's Pink gold- its VERY difficult to photograph it accurately. The tone and warmth can only be seen and felt in person. I have one on order from my AD and should be here in 3 weeks! |

I prefer white metal but personally think the wg Saxonia looks anemic and washed out. It looks better in rg whereas the 1815 looks better in wg.

I agree- hence why the hesitation with the white gold. No contrast and with The restrained design concept I think the pink gold gets an edge here. Both are beyond gorgeous though!

Have to agree. It needs that little kick that RG offers.
