Questions about my day date

A few questions.

I have a 1991 18238 diamond dial day date.

The diamonds in them.

What clarity are they?

How many carats in each hour marker?

Also what's the weight in grams in this piece?

Sorry for the hassle

Only Rolex knows and they are not telling.

Rest assure they use high quality diamonds.

Have a pic you can share of your watch?

The diamonds will be the best quality but diamonds of the dial marker size not hugely expensive cost to Rolex. The diamond carat weight around half a carat or less, total weight of the gold metal around 135-140 grams with all the links.

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that the colour of the diamonds used by Rolex is always 'D'. That could have been a dream though...

Cool engine turned bezel on a DD. Not a fan of diamond dials though.

I believe I read in a recent article regarding a writer's trip to Rolex's HQ for a tour, that all diamonds in their dials and bezels are VS-1.
