My dream pen has arrived

For a while I've been dreaming of the Mont Blanc M by Marc Newson. It's something completely different from what we've seen from MB. Yesterday I took possession of my M with the Rollerball system, which apparently is hard to find, my AD took 3 months to locate this one for me.

First impressions are positive, size and weight are fantastic. Incredibly smooth and consistent. I'm really enjoying this pen. Only small complaint is, Rollerball Capless system is only available in Medium. I tend to prefer fine and extra fine, but last night I found out that this one is compatible with the Artfineliner refills and ordered one right away. As an architect, Fineliner is my preference, I'll let you guys know how that goes.

Any ways, not a pen expert here but I give this MB a thumbs-up.

Now the photos, which don't do justice btw.

Thanks for stopping by,

P

I have been eyeing this pen for quite some time time now. I have only had one reservation... since this is a magnetic cap is there any risk of magnetising your watch??

Very nice, does this pen also come in Ball Point and Fountain Pen?

I like MB and own several. I don't think that you can ever go wrong with them.

My hearty congratulations!

I do like the fact that MB is doing something different with their designs!

I've had no issues with that. It's not a strong magnetic cap, plus I believe MB took that into consideration since they are a watchmaker as well.

Marc Newson is the right designer when you want to take risks!

Researching the pen I'm puzzled.

Is there a reason Newson designed the pen so the cap doesn't post?

I have heard a few negative comments about the MontBlanc M, but you've had this for awhile... how do you feel about it?

I have always liked this.

how long does ink last?

I have the Artfineliner and it is the best fineliner I have used to date. It has replaced my Rotring drawing pens. It is a fragile tip though. Do not lend it to anyone unless you have a spare refill at hand.
