I was always a little into watches, but Mayer's talking watch video really sparked my interests.

I think I read somewhere that the Datejust he wears in Blue Bloods is not real which annoyed me. The same place I read that it stated he had all his fictional children's names engraved on the back to help him with character development.

I have seen the GMT if not a GMT in interviews with Selleck which is kind of cool it is his watch of choice and he doesn't have to have the latest and greatest.

It's funny but I didn't start to notice celebs wearing Rolex until after I bought mine. As an adult I've always liked the Rolex watches, they just seemed so cool. And then as I saw more of them I was inspired more to get one by the people I saw wearing them and the appreciation for the hard work it took to get there.

And then of course TRF brought my appreciation to a whole new level...thanks to all of you...I celebrate you!!

My new celeb inspiration is James Cameron from the article in Rolex Magazine #6, very cool article and story. He worked hard to get where he is and it does inspire me now.

I always buy what I like, no matter who wears it as well, but I'm a huge Clapton fan and its great to see he enjoys watches as well. Great collection he has.

...Charlize Theron and her Sea Dweller...but the inspiration is for something that has nothing to do with watches...

I would say that I only connected to this in retrospect, but I really like the fact that Ronald Reagan wore a SS DJ, maybe even the same one, for at least 25 years. He was the last president who didn't feel obligated to be a phony and wear a cheap watch, nor did he feel the need to wear something ostentatious like a number of his predecessors.

Reagan was also the last President to really know how to dress as well! The early Hollywood days really paid off for him.

I'm influenced in my shopping habits by celebrities only to the extent that celebrities, being in the public eye, might wear something that catches my attention enough to cause me to do some research that might eventuate in a purchase.

I really can't come up with any examples, but it's a possibility.

I really am not in tune with celebrities, insofar as I don't watch TV or even watch movies anymore.

Good point so a newsreader or a member of public that got caught in shot is just as likely to "influence" as a celebrity

Clearly, celebrities influence each other when it comes to style and watches, as much as they influence the rest of us. So I was wondering which celebrities have influenced your taste in watches, Rolex in particular.

I'll add that I'm surprised so many celebrities wear SS Rolexes when assuming they could buy much more expensive watches and I'm sure some/most do.

Musician, Currensy. "I'm 2012 Rolex regatta, same time buying diamonds for my momma, put that in my momma, that's gonna look so good in my momma"

All of my idols own this piece. So I bought one.

I'm not one for paying attention to what celebs are wearing, unless I steadfastly want to avoid something like bubonic plague.

One of the coolest Rolex wearers has to be Slash and with Panerai then it's SLJ.

Seeing people like Justin Bieber wearing a YG DD on each arm makes me want to puke my Jacob's out of my mouth.

I thought Obama was well dressed. And more importantly, he was fit.
