Smart buckle instead of Fitbit?

Seems like an interesting idea for those who want a fitness tracker without giving up on nice watches.

Not withstanding that this adds extra length to a strap, which might be an issue for those with smaller wrists, fitness tracking is all about the software and the associated social network, and most companies that are making alternatives to the majors don't seem to realise this.

IWC was supposed to do something similar 2 years ago... no idea what happened. I probably would not get one but i much prefer these to smart watches as they are a better alternative at least.

ditto on the added length to the straps, and it lacks one of the selling point of "smart" watch-related-thing, which is the notification. Well, at least for me, its not smart enough without the notification.
