later today i am going to the AD to get it fixed. very disappointed. anyone have problems like this before??

Does not sound normal.
Let us know what happens at the AD.

Do you ask for a loaner in the interim?

Thats an EXCELLENT point!

I think that one depends on the AD....I know if an AD has a used watch Department they sometimes give a "loaner" in that case

Wow, I guess hand made or assembled watches are still susceptible to defects despite quality controls.

Goes to show why so many prefer to pay a premium for a Rolex from an AD over the GM dealer ...

at7724,

When sending it to an RSC JUST MAKE SURE IT IS NOT NYC! They will screw your watch up for sure and then tell you to live with it!

Good luck, I had the same problem with my DJ 116200 and sent it to NYC that is how I know! It is now in Dallas for them to fix what NYC F(&%^D UP!

Good luck!

This is more often True than False!

I would only use RSC Dallas!

thanks. I will ask them to send it to Dallas instead of New York. I didn't think of asking for a loaner watch.
i am really bothered about it breaking though. I saved up $$ to buy it after doing my research and intend to give it to my son in about 20 years.
