Opening a case back?
Just acquired a 1991 SS Rolex Date 15200 and took it to an AD for verification that it was authentic, and they said it was authentic, but they couldn't open it because they wouldn't be able to repressurize it. Is that right? I've taken my Sub Pre-ceramic in and to another AD and they opened it up without issues.

Looking to buy a new or used case back for this Rolex 15200 SS. The existing one has an engraving. Do I have to go through AD or is there a good place to buy used parts?

It will be the cal 3135 introduced in 1988 and still in use today but now with the in-house escapement parts but no big deal there.

I think if it hasnt been pressure tested its still water proof, but isnt guaranteed to be the 200m or 300m resistent that it says on the face, and i wouldn't go swimming with it, until it has been pressure tested.

Of course, if you do not have any verifiable service records, no reason not to start now.

Sorry, I took my 2007 Sub in to an AD, and they opened up the back and said some of the oil was drying up and I should send it in to have it serviced, since it had been 10 years since I purchased it. Which I do plan to do. I'm just not up to speed on the whole pressurization thing.

It cannot be a 15000 from 1969 the 15000 was first introduced around 1977 with the cal 3035, if from 1969 must be a 1500 with the cal 1575.
