Double AR on 16613 Crystal?
I notice my 16613 bluesy crystal has a reflection under certain light. Its a X series made in year 1993 from what i read online, newer 2000s series comes with double AR coated crystal that shoes little / no reflation so the dial is very clear. Is it possible for the to double AR coat my current one or just get a new crystal all together? Thanks for the advice.

Finding someone to AR your genuine Rolex crystal will be hard. I have access to double AR aftermarket 295c crystals. But ultimately a non original part on your watch could negatively effect the value. Having said that, I have seen double AR crystals on a 116610 and it was stunning. |

I had my 2002 16613 serviced in 2015 by Rolex and the crystal needed replacing. It had the later AR style crystal fitted upon its return. it makes better legibility however its no big deal to me either way. Enjoy the watch

BTW- if anyone needs it I can have your old gen 16613 or any other 295-c series crystals coated with my 2xar design coating on the bottom of the crystal just where the cyclops would be if it extended down- the same way Rolex does it and on the top side so you will have a pretty deep black hole. I am in the US so contact me if you are interested.

I wouldn't want AR coating on the outside of any watch crystal
I believe it can become marred due to dings etc... Underneath is another story... |
