Clasp logo variations
I bought a 116610LV in March this year and a 114060 in June of this year. Both were purchased from an AD. Today I noticed the logo engraving on the clasp is a little different. On seems lightly done while the other seems more bold. I can feel the difference as well. Anyone else notice any variation in their clasps? Not concerned just found it interesting.

It seems Rolex have also changed the surface finish to the area of clasp where the logo is.
It used to be a Matt finish now it it highly polished. This may help explain the difference on logo engraving. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Funny, mine is bold but the clasp is also blasted. Seems they change depending on year and watch.

I’ve seen the blasted vs polished but haven’t seen differences within the polished clasps.

I thought the polished clasps were paired with bracelets that had PCL and vice versa for bracelets with brushed centre links. I'll have to check mine...

Just checked my 2017 Sub and it has the polished clasp with quite bold engraving.
I wonder what year they stopped making the textured style clasp? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

I bet it's cheaper to do the polished finish with the etched Rolex logo than the "earlier" textured finish and darkened logo, hence the change.

All of mine are bead blasted ones which are discontinued and rare...expected to double in value within the next 36 months!

Yes and the new laser etched rehaut engraving on the 2016/17 models along with the polished inner clasp are ways for rolex to cut production costs a bit. imo the old sand blasted clasp and deeply engraved rehaut were nicer.
