Help needed with sizing my SD43

I have removed two links on my SD43 as well as the diver's extension. The glidedlock is on its tightest/smallest setting and, although the watch feels comfortably snug, I'd like to see if it would feel even better if it was a little tighter. Also, I'd like to have the glidelock in the center of the clasp and not all the way to one side. I have 4 lugs on the 6 o'clock side and 5 1/2 lugs on the 12 o'clock side. I'm assuming that I should be removing a lug or the half lug on the 12 o'clock side and see how it feels. Is this the way to go?
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere. I just couldn't find an answer through my searches.

Take another link off the 12 side and try.

Yeah - agree with above. It might mean you lose the ability to utilize all of the glidelock clasp (tighter side) but at least you'll have a more snug fit.

I'm a fellow tooth doc and a bit of do-it-yourselfer. I also live about 50 miles from the nearest AD. Looking to do this at home. I've got the tools and the eyesight so why not.

I would recommend trying it out but I think you may find you enjoy it looser. The pursuit of not having the watch move comes at the expense of comfort imho.

I left the divers extension on mine and there's very little movement.
Personally, I like wearing my watches snug and so far I decided to leave
the extension.

Start with removing half link. So 5 links on the 12 side, and 4 links on the 6 side.

I had same problem with my hulk and ended up removing one link on 6 side and moving the half link inside the glide lock to replace it. The glide lock links are now in the middle way and I like my watches tightly fit. My wrist is 7 inch

Because it's better to have someone with experience do the work; it's less risk for the watch. You don't need an AD just someone who routinely works on Rolexes; a good jeweler will do.

Sizing sometimes drives me nuts. Keep trying and you will get to a point where you are comfortable. But have someone experienced do the work for you. Otherwise, you will really scratch up those lugs.

Trust me I know as I went through the same experience with my first watch.

Try this. The SD has a 1/2 link. You may need to consider moving a link to the opposite side of the bracelet as far as centering the clasp goes. There's enough options to play around with that should get you where you want to be.
