Really hard choice made!

First, I'm new to the Rolex forum! I was a Breitling guy who has seen the light!

So I'm in Vegas last week for the International bike show and I stumble in to the watch shop at ceasar's and they just put in the case a 44mm Panarai Stainless $8300! This is the watch I have been sweating for years and the only way I can buy it is if I sell my 3 month old new GMT master Ceramic to my buddy back home? After a hard debate I decide to keep my Rolex and pass on the Panarai! Any one have any thoughts on comparing these two watches? The funny thing is they were a Rolex dealer but dissed the brand completely and told me they are a dime a dozen and no where near as nice as the Panarai? I'm just looking for some feed back or for someone to back up my choice?

the bottom line is there is no real answer anyone here can provide. ultimately you're the one that's going to put it on your wrist and wear it. you need to buy something that you love, feels good and gives you a sense of satisfaction. nobody here can give you that answer.

rolex and panerai both tell time but are completely different watches. i wear my 249 for different reasons than i put on my daytona. both great watches that i enjoy tremendously but different watches in many ways. both brands are great for many reasons, you really can't go wrong! let us know what you end up doing.

btw - which pam are you considering? 288 or 297?

he's right the decision is really up to you i prefer Rolex, Grand Seiko, Credor or Omega but that's just me if you prefer Panerai than Rolex go for it
