Wearing a PAM while in Italy is a perfect match but you'll see more Rolex in Italy than anything else. That may not always be a good thing especially if you want to look different

And now the serious stuff, please eat a lobster tail at Pansa in Amalfi and try to grab dinner at Flauto di Pan in Ravello or Don Alfonso in Sant'Agata.

Has to be the PAM, my friend. Watch them drool over it when you visit the Panerai boutique.

Belated happy birthday; please don't tell me I missed that one, too!

Thanks Paul,

I've decided to wast the 690 and as Adam mentioned, maybe I'll find a cool strap at the boutique

June 30th was the big day. We decided to travel in Sept to avoid some of the tourist season

Honestly I think that would've been runner up, it's super comfortable and a good all rounder, especially for all the swimming I do

Buy yourself the OEM rubber strap, you can then wear when swimming, and adding on a comment before, everytime I am in Italy, the watch the italians wear the most is Rolex, they are everywhere!! I am always blown away with the amount of Rolex I see people wearing. Only once have I seen a Panerai being worn....it was a beautiful older italian women and she was wearing a Panerai 88.

Thanks Nicolas, that's a great idea and maybe I'll have time to visit the boutigue in Mississauga and pick up a rubber strap before we leave on Monday ...

I still cant believe how Rolex our does Panerai in Italy I guess I'll try and pitch in for the Paneristi

You do realize we will expect pictures?

Have a great trip. Amalfi was one of my favorites on our honeymoon 10 years ago.

Be sure and take the boat trip to Capri. There is a nice walk to the back side of the island and a wonderful rock beach and cafe where you feel like you walked into a 1960's Italian film. Minus the wealthy Russian tourists wearing their Rolexes and Panerais, of course.

Agree, a trip to Capri is a must. Possibly during the week and, if you can, stay a night there. The island gets much quieter in the evening.

Hey Nick, just to let you know I spoke to Shabnam at the Panerai boutique in Toronto this morning. She has a rubber strap set aside for me. She also said that they sold their 737 instantly upon receipt (I guess they have a waiting list) She did say they are getting another on in though

Pam is usually on my periphery for most occasions. But a trip to Italy that involves the sea it should be right at home. Also, looks softer, therefor perfect for a romantic getaway. Have fun. September is glorious over there.
