Icon19 NOMOS Orion "De Stijl" LE

Anyone else fancy this? I find that dial really attractive. Might have to pull the trigger on this one while it's still available.

Yep, great brand, Bauhaus style, and prices not too "gougey". Lovely piece all round.

I really like the hour markers. Different sizes making an asymmetric and beautiful dial. Also I like the crystal case back to see that fantastic movement.
I always wear casual clothes so I cannot remember last day I wore a dress watch.
I think its a good example for any collection.
What can I say?...go for it!!

Are they asking for a big premium?

I do not question the brand, style, and design of the watch, which I all like. But I am not a collector type person and I would not pay premium for an LE unless it is very unique for some reason (that could be purely personal/emotional).

It reminds me of a California dial but with stick markers. I really like it!

It says that its priced the same as the standard watch but limited to 100 pieces and only available at this particular retailer. No premium mark up.

That's a nice watch. Are you coming to Amsterdam to pick one up?

Yeah, it might be too dressy for me actually.

No, the dealer does mail order fortunately.

Dress watches work fine with casual clothes. I wear my Cartier Tank with T-shirts, jeans, denim shirts all the time and it looks great.

This seems like a watch that will go with anything and give you a smile everytime you look at those fun markers.

NOMOS Orion "De Stijl" LE

Super nice piece. Has the clean simplicity of a Nomos design, and the asymmetric markers add some interest and fun. I have been considering adding a Nomos and I think this is the one.

The only thing that might bug me in an OCD way is the claim that all indices are unique. I don't disagree, but the 11 and 4, and the 1,5, and 9 for example, look so similar to each other (even in blown up pics) that it could be a distraction.

I loved my Orion, but flipped it for a Metro PR. Great watch simply elegant. Just no room in the box/budget for two so similar.

Go for it Adam!!

At first glance, I love the watch. But, after I look at it awhile, the different size indices and their arrangement start to bother me.

It's interesting, but, I personally would go with the standard face. A big part of Nomos's appeal to me is simplicity, zen and harmony. Not sure if that LE ticks all of those boxes.

That's an on point comment Cru, but to me that's the beauty of this LE. I feel that it retains all those things, but in a way that's a little less staid and a bit more fun.
