I think 39-40mm are the sweet spot but the trend is bigger watches.

Watches getting bigger -- I think all watches are from when we were younger

You see the HUBLOT BIG BANG , PANERAI, AP styles etc

In fact,,,might get some backlash for this,,,?
My favourite watch has always been the GMT and wear the LN

If they did the GMT in 42mm I think it would be an amazing look in piece??

I can relate to this. When I first started lusting after a Sub 30 years ago, I always considered it way too big for me. Back in the day when I was still at sea, one of the cadets came back from a run ashore in Kaohsiung (or Keelung, can't remember but it was one of the main Taiwanese ports) with an unmentionable Sub and I was struck by how large it was. Nowadays, they're dwarfed by most Panerais and many Omegas. Still awesome though.

Yes, I would like to see DAYTONA CERACHROM no less than 44 MM. An icing on the cake would be a flyback option too. I think I'm asking too much OK just a bigger Daytona please

It seems Rolex has been good about keeping mainstream models within the 36-40mm target and allowing niche models to become larger to appeal to a different audience. Most of the larger watches were either previously the slow sellers, or created as a accompaniment to another product. Anyway, there’s something for everyone, but man I’d love to see the Daytona hit 42mm. For me that watch, though beautiful, is almost feminine from a size perspective (isn’t it actually in the 38-38.5 range?). I’ll take a speedy pro for 1/3 the cost and 2x the heritage for 42 Alex!!!!

Oh and folks, fads/trends are by definition I believe, a flash in the pan of sorts. Big watches (over 42) have been killing it for 15+ years now. They are a staple and here to stay. Just not really on my wrist.

Personally I'm a recovering largewatchaholic. I have no intentions of going big again and have found 39-41 is my sweet spot. I'm not a Daytona fan at 39+ and would not like to see a 42 version either but i do find it interesting that there is a gradual increase in sizes with more and more product offerings going that way.

With things like maxi cases and dials already in the portfolio I suspect we will see a lot more with only the DD40 bucking the trend so far
We can agree to differ on the mainstream point

The DJ2 is over 41mm The DJ41 has been measured as 39.52. DD40 is 38.78
