What's better than a new DJ41?

Two of them!

My dad has always loved the jubilee in two tone and I've been waiting years for a slightly larger datejust on jubilee.

Rolex finally made exactly what I wanted.

Still stickered and at home for today. No, I was not going to wear a stickered watch in public. Need to take care of the insurance but will have more pictures and wrist shots tomorrow.

Want to make a special mention of Rick at Lee Perla in NJ. We got my dad's Sub from him two years ago and it was a great experience. Stopped by two months ago to inquire about these two Datejusts and the white was not available. Seems to be a bit more rare compared to the other colors right now. My dad made an issue of buying them together. Took a little bit of time, but it was the right call. Father and son going together to get new watches was very nice.

Rick gave me updates as every shipment came in and kept in touch just about every week to tell me what the delivery situation was. There are several members here who know him and can back me up on his reputation and knowledge about watches in general.

He called me on Tuesday to let me know that the white dial had come in and we picked them both up yesterday.

Thanks to Rick and the staff at Lee Perla

Congrats on a great pair, how times change, hey Syed, when we were teenagers we wouldn't be caught dead wearing anything like our Dad's, now it's a badge of honour.

Seriously

Even five years ago I don't think I would have considered a jubilee bracelet or fluted bezel.

At 35 I'm embracing my inner old man.

Congratulations on purchasing these beautiful watches. I owned both of these Rolex watches for 15 years before trading them in for the DJ41 white face with Oyster bracelet. You will enjoy these watches. Enjoy.
