2012 Rolex Deepsea Challenge Expedition Commemorative Submariner 116610 Full Set
Up for grabs is a Rolex Submariner Date
116610LN reference with ceramic bezel G serial number with warranty card dated in 2012. This is one of the watches which was offered as a special deal to crew members of Deepsea Challenge Expedition in 2012 led my James Cameron. The watches were offered by Rolex directly, at a special price, and each one was engraved, by Rolex directly, with "Deepsea Challenge Expedition 2012". All crew members were offered this deal, but not all took advantage and there is no exact number of orders known. This specific watch was owned by a member of Sub Team/Launch and Recovery Team; Dave Apperley. Dave is mentioned with praise on the official website (http://www.deepseachallenge.com/the-team/) and is a commercial diver, as well as an electrical engineer by trade. There is plenty of evidence and providence that comes with the watch to connect it directly to Mr. Apperley and therefore Deepsea Challenge Expedition. The watch's warranty card has Dave's name on it, appropriate date, as well as Rolex Australia as direct seller. So, this watch could only have come from Rolex directly, and not via an authorized dealer. There is a purchase invoice, direct from Rolex, with Dave's name on it, special price of the watch, and of course matching serial number of the watch to this invoice. Furthermore, there is a copy of letter from a representative at Rolex SA confirming such special offering took place. The watch is also accompanied by a Deepsea Challenge Expedition patch. As for the watch it self, it comes in used but unpolished condition. All accessories are present including Rolex boxes, manuals, warranty card, hang tags, and all links. The caseback engraving is very high quality, as you would expect done by Rolex with all letters being enamel filled as we see on Sea-Dweller and Milgauss models with factory engravings, for example. This is an important and collectible piece which was previously owned by an important member of the expedition. My price is $25,000 shipped within US. I ship via FedEx w/ ParcelPro insurance so international shipments are not an issue. If you do not like my price, make an offer, do not ask for the best price as the best price for me is the highest. I will not respond to best-price-mails. You can reach me by calling or texting 757-749-9675. For international customer, this number is also for WhatsApp. My email is [email protected] Plenty of worldwide references. You will have a 72 hour inspection period. Please return for full refund less shipping if it is not as pictured or described. Follow me on Instagram @LunarOyster to see newest inventory before it goes up on my site or forums! |
