Will the ceramic BLRO insert fit on the BLNR?

So I’m in love with the GMT Pepsi but can’t find one in a decent shape and the white gold one is rediculously expensive.

Would I be able to get the BLRO ceramic insert?
Will it fit in the current 116710?

What do you guys think of that idea?

Thanks for any thoughts

Nope, won’t fit. Slightly different size. You didn’t think it would be that easy, did you? =)

I am not aware of anyone that has actually tried to confirm. They pop up on here time to time for like 3-4k

Yeah I should add that this is just what I’ve read in here. I haven’t actually heard firsthand reports of anyone trying it.

This question comes up a lot, and I don’t think we’ve ever had someone confirm one way or another. My guess is no, but

Given that the watches have the exact same size i do not see why it shouldn't fit.

That’s because it’s on the standard GMT with green hand and writing. On the BLNR it would look great because of the blue hand and white writing.

Smh @ that idea. But here is a full set 16710 D serial. Its black though. But not an issue. He offers to make it a Pepsi for $500 more. Lol. Please don’t do that. Source your own pepsi insert . This is definitely cheaper than what you are trying to do. And you wont have a poser watch by doing it this way.

The idea is a great one I guess but honestly even if it did fit - how can you justify spending 3-4k on a bezel.

Surely if you want to do a mod - maybe get a super jubilee bracelet for that sort of money or even cheaper.

Aftermarket ones are dirt cheap.. which is strange because when Rolex makes them they cost thousands because of the difficult manufacturing process.. Hmmm. How you remove the old one and click the replacement in is anyone's guess but good luck.

You guys are steering this man in the wrong direction. No this is NOT a great idea. And smh @ “aftermarket” and “dirt cheap”. I would never suggest to anyone to go the “aftermarket” or “dirt cheap” route for any part on a Rolex. He wants a Pespi then I have given him the best advice. And that is buy that 16710 D serial from Bobs watches. And then source a ROLEX pepsi insert. NOT an aftermarket insert. Do not molest a BLNR to quench your thirst for Pepsi. If you go that route your gonna end up with a RC cola and not Pepsi.

Thanks guys for all the help. I honestly didn’t know that the Blue red ceramic insert goes for 3-4K. Yes I probably don’t want any replica/aftermarket on a Rolex (other than a strap maybe)

I will have to wait for the right 16710 to come by (sigh)
I will check that one you sent me. Seems a bit overpriced but I guess that’s what they’re going for now 9k+
Thank you All, what an amazing community!!

You are right. It is a bit over priced. But not by much. And that is what they go for. And its a full set. The longer you wait the more you will have to pay. You was ready to molest a BLNR but you are not ready to pay an extra $500 or so to get 16710. Doesn’t make much sense to me. Bob’s comes with a 1yr warranty. And he has his own service center. Im sure he checked it out before putting it up for sale. So a service is probably not necessary. So you have to factor that into your decision as well.

You also need a red GMT hand to complete the look but who wants a wannabe watch...

I'll be honest, I don't really know. And..I don't think anybody else has a definitive answer either.

However...putting that all aside, it wouldn't be something that I would even be remotely interested in doing.

I wasn't seriously expecting him to set about prying at the ceramic on his BLNR. Perhaps I should have used one of these ? I'd have to agree that your advice is preferable. Just to clarify.
